Majors Creek Festival

Matthew will once again be traveling up to Majors Creek to run an Irish social dance workshop as part of the festival.
This was one our favorite festivals when we last attended in 2024, so we're looking forward to heading back. It's well worth a visit.
A little Christmas

Two years after our launch event we will return to the Hurstbridge Hall to host a fabulous festive celebration. With live music, guest performances, raffle prizes and lots of dancing, this is one not to be missed.
Dress in your festive best and bring along the whole family. Everyone is welcome - no prior dance experience required.
Doors open at 7:00pm, with dancing and music from 7:30pm.
$35 adults
$25 ISDAV members
$20 students
Children under 16 are free.
This is a BYO event (both food and alcohol). Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided. We encourage you shop local and pick up your dinner from one of the many dining options in Hurstbridge.

ISDAV celebrated another year of dance and live music with, unsurprisingly, more dancing and live music.

Steps and sets

Fairfield Uniting Church, Fairfield
An afternoon filled with laughter and good vibes, attendees learnt some new steps, put it into action in the Inis Oírr set and tried their hand at writing their own figure.
Dance and Music Workshop Day

Pascoe Vale Senior Citizens Centre, Pascoe Vale
After an afternoon of dance and music workshops taught by Marie, Bonney, Matthew and Joan we all came together for an evening performance of what we'd learnt. We danced the Ormond and Treacle Town sets, learned tunes such as 'The price of my pig' and the 'Levan polkka' and some brave attendees did a fantastic job of demonstrating a broom dance.

The Victorian Folk Music Association hosted a dance weekend over the Easter long weekend. ISDAV had the pleasure of presenting the opening dance, an Irish Family Ceili.
